AAP Exhibition Committee

Guidelines

  1. Renew annually to remain on committee

  2. 3 year term limit

  3. Up to 9 total committee members (as per bylaws)

  4. Membership dues must be current



Expectations

  • Actively engage in supporting exhibitions (attend exhibitions and network with other members of the arts community)

  • Attend bi-monthly meetings (Total of 6 meetings a year)

  • Can not miss more than one meeting per calendar year

  • Volunteer to help with exhibitions with minimum of 4 hours per calendar year (events, install, drop offs, etc.)

  • Provide insight, experience, connections, etc. to exhibitions

Exhibition Committee Duties (in conjunction with AAP staff)

  • Maintain quality exhibitions

  • Discuss ways to improve exhibitions

  • Locate potential venues and attend site visits

  • Select jurors, curators and selection panels (screenings)

  • Create and follow budget, adapt as needed (budget model will be provided)

  • Plan calendar of events

  • Maintain transparency with board and membership

  • Present ideas to board

  • Remain open to discussion with members and their input on exhibitions

  • Community outreach and engagement

  • Promote diversity
