Archival Reflection
This fall, we reorganized our archive of past exhibition catalogues, which includes Annual catalogues that date as far back as the 1920s. By handling and flipping through these exhibition details from almost a century ago, we are reminded of the vast history of the Pittsburgh art community and the role that we have played in it. Over the years, the formats of the catalogues varied widely, from simple booklets and large magazines, even to pamphlets that fold out into larger posters, representative of the changing appearances of contemporary art, which we are still working with today.
