Josephine Sculpture Park’s Artist-in-Residence (Due May 14)
Josephine Sculpture Park’s Artist-in-Residence
Deadline: May 14th, 2025
Josephine Sculpture Park is pleased to announce a call for proposals for our Artist-in-Residence program for 2025-2026. The funded residency will begin with a site visit in 2025 and a residency period of up to 10 weeks in 2026. JSP’s Artist-in-Residence program provides artists a career-boosting opportunity to make new outdoor work on a large-scale, with the physical space and technical and financial support to succeed.
Artists will be primarily visual artists working in sculpture as well as the mediums of sound and performance as responsive experiences to sculpture and the natural environment. Artists working in a variety of materials are encouraged to apply, including but not limited to stone, metal, wood, concrete, found objects, natural materials, plastics, fiberglass, light, and sound.
Josephine Sculpture Park's Arist-in-Residence (AiR) program is hosted at the 40-acre park in Franklin County, Kentucky. The AiR program will welcome up to 2 artists for a site planning visit in 2025 and a residency period of up to 10 weeks in 2026. The goal is to provide artists a career-boosting opportunity to make new outdoor work on a large-scale, with the physical space and technical and financial support to succeed.
Artists must submit proposals by 11:59pm Mountain Time on May 14, 2025. JSP will announce selections in July, 2025.
This program is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Grants for Arts Projects.
