Founded in 1975, Lillstreet Art Center is a large community of artists and students working side-by-side in a friendly environment which encourages and inspires artistic growth in the individual. Lillstreet supports the arts through an artist residency program, gallery, studio space, education, and an outreach program. Please see listings below for our various opportunities throughout the year. Residencies include year-long residencies in Ceramics and Metalsmithing, and nine-month residencies in Drawing & Painting, Printmaking & Book Arts, and Textiles.

These residencyies include :

  • personal workspace in a group studio

  • 24-hour access to facilities and equipment

  • free classes in any of our six departments

  • paid opportunities to teach and/or assist in 3 classes

  • Participation in a solo exhibition with an option for an end of the residency group exhibition in the Lillstreet gallery.

  • a stipend of $400 every month.
