The Dome House Al & Mickey Quinlan Artist Residency (Due Apr. 7)

The Dome House Al & Mickey Quinlan Artist Residency
Deadline: April 7th, 2025

The Al & Mickey Quinlan Residency is an application-based 8-week program for emerging and mid-career Midwest artists focused in the areas of drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, created and led in partnership with the Miller Art Museum. The 2025 resident is invited to live and work at the Dome House from August 4 through September 28, 2025. The residency serves the broader mission of the Dome House to provide artists working in all mediums with space for creativity, contemplation and inspiration.

We recommend gathering the following for your application before completing the online application form:

- A current CV or Artist Resume.

- Introduction/Artist Statement/Bio: Provide us with a statement to give us a sense of your work, inspiration, materials or techniques. Feel free to describe your work overall, or describe a past project or bodies of work.

- Statement of Intent: What are your personal goals for the residency and how would the opportunity support the development of your work? Important: With public engagement a core component of the residency program, artists will be expected to, at a minimum, develop an introductory public presentation, establish regular open studio hours for the general public, and stage a concluding final art exhibition and/or artist talk/presentation. Ideas for additional public events would be welcome.

- Artist Residency Project Plan: Consideration will be given to those artists who demonstrate a desire to experiment, explore and develop their concepts to move their practice forward who also wish to actively connect with the creative community in Door County.

- Professional References: The contact info for two professional references. Please list references related to your work as an artist with full contact information - a letter of recommendation is not needed.
