2025 Prospectus Emerging Curator Residency - Brew House Arts (Due Nov. 1)
2025 Prospectus Emerging Curator Residency - Brew House Arts
Deadline: November 1st, 2024
Prospectus is a curatorial residency program designed to support Pittsburgh’s emerging curators in the development of new exhibitions. The program provides a small cohort of curators with mentorship, professional development, financial support, and a 2,700 sq. ft. gallery space in order to bring their curatorial visions to life.
Selected curators participate in a comprehensive professional development program that provides the tools and training necessary to create new exhibitions. Experts in the field will give advice on essential skills for curators including developing an exhibition statement, artist engagement and interaction, community collaboration and outreach, installation, marketing and promotion.
“The Prospectus program provided guidance and support that far exceeded my expectations. I felt like the entire Brew House team as well as my mentor and the design team were all working together to support my curatorial vision. I went into the Prospectus program imagining it to be a mostly solitary project with designated resources, but it actually felt like I was part of a team that saw me as a peer and a valuable part of the PGH arts community.”
