Sharpsburg Community Library - Call for Artists (Rolling)

Sharpsburg Community Library - Call for Artists
Deadline: Rolling
Fee: Free

Sharpsburg Community Library is seeking submissions for our 2024 art show season. We are primarily seeking individual artists interested in having a solo show, but will also consider duos and collectives who are actively presenting work together.

To allow opportunities for as much of the community as possible, artists who have had a solo or co-artist show at the library in 2022 or 2023 are not eligible to apply for a 2024 show.

Artists should include 2-3 examples of their work and a brief description of their show. This may be a certain theme, art form, etc.

All pieces should be wired and ready to hang, or have a sawtooth-style hanger with a wire loop.

Maximum size is 36" x 36".

Maximum weight is 15 pounds.

We can generally accommodate 25 pieces. This may vary depending on the size of your work.

Types of items accepted:

Paintings

Drawings

Digital art

Photos

Mixed media

Textile pieces

3D items (hanging only)

As we are a public library, we cannot accept any pieces with full frontal nudity, profane words, or violent/disturbing imagery. Pieces are evaluated at the Volunteer Exhibits Curator's discretion.

The library takes a 25% commission on each piece sold.

All artists displaying with the library will complete an Artist Agreement form in advance of their show.

Any artists selling art must also complete a W9.

Art shows are typically between 4 and 6 weeks in duration.
