Adjunct Instructors

The School of Art at Carnegie Mellon University continually seeks qualified adjunct instructors to teach a variety of studio courses. Examples of courses for which we seek instructors include foundation-, intermediate-, and advanced-level courses. Studio classes typically meet for three hours a day, two days a week, over a 14-week semester and have an average enrollment of 15 students per class.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis all year long. Candidates who meet criteria for needed courses will be contacted during planning for the fall or spring semesters.

We encourage applications from members of groups that have been marginalized or underrepresented in art and higher education and who will contribute to the breadth of our program.
