The Residency Project at 880: (rolling basis)
CALL FOR PROPOSALS
The Residency Project @ 880 accepts proposals for the Retreat Residency Program on a rolling basis.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Retreat is our most hands-off residency program, built to give you the time and space to think and work first and foremost, with the opportunity to present your work to new audiences. While our Retreat residents are not required to end the residency with a finished "product," there is an expectation that, at some point in your stay at 880, you will share your work-in-progress or talk about your practice and process with the community through a small salon-style gathering at the house or a local venue.
See Facilities for more details about the live/work space and available resources.
PROPOSAL DEADLINE: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Proposals should be submitted at least one month before your preferred start date. Exceptions to this can be made but are unlikely.
RESIDENCY PERIOD: The terms of your stay are flexible. Retreats typically range between 1 and 4 weeks and should be no shorter than 6 nights/7 days.
WHO SHOULD APPLY: Emerging, mid-career, and established professional artists, as well as students in degree-seeking programs are all welcome to apply.
APPLICATION FEE: None
PROGRAM FEE: The program fee is assessed at a rate of $45 per day based on the agreed-upon length of your residency.

This is a competitive opportunity and not all proposals can be accepted. Applicants are judged by the strength of their written application and submitted work samples.
