Surface Tension
March 11, 2026 — May 3, 2026
Surface Tension brings together artists affiliated with the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh and Radiant Hall whose work appears vibrant and visually seductive yet carries a sense of underlying pressure. Bright palettes and playful materials mask deeper emotional, cultural, and environmental complexities, creating a charged space where surface and substance pull against each other.
Featured Artists:
Christopher Boring, Saige Baxter, Catherine Drabkin, Teal Fitzpatrick, Heather Heitzenrater, Ifeoma Igwe, Jamie Walters Kessler, Branda C. Maholtz, Clayton F. Merrell, Susan Palmisano, burnsbothends (Kayte Rose), and Patrick Schmidt

Workaround
February–May 2026
WORKAROUND is the second exhibition of the Field Day x AAP: Artist in Residence series. It features work by artists Jordan Bohannan and Katy Heinlein. In WORKAROUND, Bohannan and Heinlein have curated a body of work that interacts spatially, not only through the physical Field Day building, but also within the existing coworking ecosystem in the exhibition WORKAROUND.
Exhibition spaces at field day are open and free to their membership and the public. However, if you are not a field day member, you need to contact Emi Driscoll at Field Day to schedule your visit in advance.
