The Associated Artists of Pittsburgh seeks emerging and established curators, artists, and cultural producers to design exhibitions that highlight the work of AAP artists members and engage conventional and/or current aesthetic, socio-historical, and conceptual perspectives. Submissions are open to the general public. If selected, curators will work with AAP’s exhibition committee to produce their exhibition for 2018 or 2019. The deadline for 2018 proposals is February 15, 2018.


Interested parties should submit their proposal and the listed materials to by the deadline stated above. Please use “Curatorial Call – (your last name)” as the subject line for your email. 

  • Exhibition proposal (max. 500 words)
  • Statement of curatorial philosophy (max. 500 words)
  • One-page résumé


The exhibition committee will review 2018 proposals and notify selected applicants before March 1, 2018 with proposed dates, location, alterations, and stipend.
